Interested in a smooth or sloping sandy beach?

Then you'll want to look at the properties located on the more sheltered south side. These properties are in a more protected bay, so have an easier entry into the beach area. However, sometimes this area will get less wind, which can mean more bugs. This area is a beautiful location, and these properties fit most people's idea of the quintessential "island beach house".  Units on this side include The Round House, Blue Bayou Beach Houses, and The Sandy Bay Beach House.

 

Interested in a more dramatic coastline, but still want ocean access? 

 Then you'll want to focus your search on our East end properties, which is also considered the windward side.  You'll generally find better trade-winds on this side, which can also mean less bugs. Though not the gentle sand slope entry, there is still easy access to excellent swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Units on this side include Paradise Cove Bungalow, Utila Coral Bungalow, Sea Breeze Beach House, and Paradise Regained.

 

Do You Want To Be In Town?

The Boat House is located in-town, within an easy walk or bike ride to everything.

 

All the other properties (and indeed all other waterfront vacation rental homes on Utila) are located just outside of town; from .5 to 1.5 mile.   Most of our clients have found they like being slightly outside of town for the privacy, beauty, and serenity, and also the fact that all properities are still easily accessible to town via walking (at most 10-25 minutes, depending on the unit), biking (5-10 minutes), or via motorized vehicle such as golf cart, scooter, motorcycle or 4-wheeler, or taxi.
