About Destination Utila

Destination Utila is a small island business that was founded in 2005 by Andi Ryon and purchased in April 2008 by Jim and Vicki Frazier.

For twenty years, while living and working in Atlanta, Jim and Vicki traveled the Caribbean with a dream of one day moving to that perfect island and starting a small business. When they discovered Utila and came across Andi's business, they knew they had found the perfect combination.

Jim's business background includes 15 years as a CFO for mid-size companies. Vicki spent 10 years as VP Finance and COO for a large division of a Fortune 500 company. Both have experience with an international consulting company and both have experience in property management and real estate development.

At Destination Utila we are selective in the properties we work with and make sure both property owners and renters always have direct personal contact and service.

For Renters:

 

• Assistance throughout your reservation process to help you select a unit that best matches your needs.
• Assistance with details regarding travel and trip planning and answering related questions.
• Coordination of all the "behind the scenes work" with the properties and owners to help ensure that the units are ready for your arrival and all goes smoothly during your stay.
• Meet and greet service at the ferry dock or airport.
• Full orientation of the unit upon your arrival and on-call island assistance should any needs or issues come up during your stay.
• Acting as an unbiased intermediary with the property owners should any larger issues arise for the units we manage (we manage some units, and work on referral reservations for others).
• Source of information for trips, outings, nightlife, etc.

For Property Owners:

 

• A professional, hard-working, island-based team..
• Management skills to alleviate much of your worries and hassels in ownership of vacation rental properties.
• Services range from simply acting as a source of referrals to complete property management.
